Shut the Box is the simplest good game we know. Roll two dice, flip down any tiles that add up to the roll, and keep rolling until you cannot. Lowest total wins. Children get it in one round; adults keep score for years.

This is the four sided version, so up to four people play at the same time on one board, each with their own row of tiles. It is made of wood with a lidded box and comes with the dice.
